Khon Kaen University’s Mekong Health Science Research Institute (MeHSRI) is dedicated to conducting, inspiring, and supporting health science. As director, I envision our institute as part of a key strategy to encourage health research and innovation, especially regarding tropical infectious diseases and cancer in Thailand and the Greater Mekong Subregion.

            At MeHSRI, we have an innovative lateral flow platform for research and development to establish medical device prototypes for the diagnosis and detection of human diseases. Our biobank platform contains a collection of microorganisms (bacteria and several parasites) and biological and medical fluid/tissue samples, which are used to improve our understanding of health and disease and aid in collaborative research.

         We currently have public-private partnerships in the pipeline and are always looking for partners to initiate new projects.
